If you are running TerraSync 5.00 on any Windows 7 PC or Trimble Yuma you will need to create a “My Documents/TerraSync” folder on the “C:” drive in order to open a data dictionary/background files and be able to save the data file. You will not be able to collect data unless this path of folders are created. The error will be: “Unable to Create Data File”.
This information was very helpful to me in troubleshooting my Nomad Trimble GPS.
